Cristiano Ronaldo has been chosen by his peers as a professional player of the year of FIFPro, the players' union which brings together 57,500 members, as was made public on Monday.
"I have not been elected after a vote of more than fifty thousand professional players from around the world is something unbelievable," said Cristiano Ronaldo, who last season marked 42 goals scored and that Manchester United won the titles in the English League and the Champions League.

"I would like to thank my colleagues and coaches from both Manchester and the Portuguese selection, my friends and my family for their support," added Ronaldo.
The Portuguese player is also one of the big favorites to win the prize awarded to the best player by FIFA and the Golden Ball for the French magazine France Football.
This morning was made public in eleven ideal for the FIFPro Awards including five Spanish football: Casillas, Puyol, Ramos, Xavi and Fernando Torres.
